New, new, new…

· blog

The year is still quite new, 2007. This blog is completely new. My computer is new too, relatively, just to me (otherwise it is not a new computer, but never mind).

With every new year I have more to say, while I also forget a lot. There are ideas which I can say better. The amount of material to present is overwhelming, the old items and the new ones, and a lot to develop. I should select one direction at the time as the main one.

Hmm, the first minor difficulty: how to remove a comment?

Oh, this blog has a 50MB limit, I didn’t know. It’s ok, I am not planning on posting any photos. However, if I wanted to illustrate some mathematical texts with drawings then there could be a problem.

Hey, html works, or at least the horizontal bar hr, but in the code mode only, but of course. I’ll add my own comment to see if I get an option to remove it. Perhaps only the comment from WordPress is irremovable.

I have removed the unwanted comment, and in general I can see that I can survive in this environment, it’s time to start to post in earnest. Let me still mention that by the standards of the San Francisco Bay Area, the day is rather gray. I’ll have another coffee. I deserve it since I went to bed early (for me), around 3:30am, and got up murderously early, around 9am. I meant to go back to sleep at one time or another but it didn’t happen (phone-calls, email, etc).

Now, that I have more or less checked that things here, at this server and with this software, seem to work nice, it’s also time for:

ACKNOWLEDGMENT I’d like to thank Gerard K. for telling me about WordPress.

Also italic and bold tags work (in the code mode). Now let’s see if this comment is removable.

I’ve removed that automatic comment by “Mr WordPress” to the first post. To remove comments one needs to go the the manage page.
